The COVID-19 booster shot is now available for 12 to 15 year olds in the US. You can receive either a Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna booster shot, regardless of which type you received as your first vaccine. Since immunity wanes after getting your first vaccine, the booster is meant to build your protection again.
