If filling your Valentine’s Day void with sweet treats is right up your alley, join the Community Outreach Association, or COA, for a sweet Valentines-themed fundraising party. After school, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, in the Large Group Room, join COA to decorate cookies, make Valentine’s cards, and watch a rom-com. With a $5 entry fee, all proceeds will go to a local charity, undecided as of yet.
COA strives to help students find volunteer opportunities and benefit local organizations in Bloomington. Senior Adrianna Waterford, creator of COA said, “COA is a club here at South which centralizes community service opportunities for students at BHSS. Our hope is to help students learn how to volunteer and give back to our community.”
