South English teacher Sheila McDermott-Sipe is planning to take students on a trip around Europe next summer through the Education First program, which revolves around students learning and growing through visiting different places.
Students will stop at multiple locations in Eastern Europe, including Berlin, Germany; Prague, Czech Republic; Budapest, Hungary; and Krakow, Poland.
This trip will prioritize history, particularly that of World War II and how Nazi influence impacted Eastern Europe. Students will see different significant historical sites such as remains of the Berlin Wall, two concentration camps, Heroe’s Square, and many more.
Although exact dates are unconfirmed, the trip will run for nine days towards the end of July, 2025.
