As the months get colder, it’s harder to find fun things to do. Here’s a list of seasonal activities to try to fill the time.
- Pumpkin picking/carving: You could do it for fun, or as a contest with friends or family! After they go bad, they’re pretty fun to destroy.
- Go to Goodwill and try to build a costume: This could be a fun activity with friends during the fall season, especially if you’re in need of a last minute costume for Halloween, or just looking for a way to fill an afternoon. You might even have more luck post Halloween as people donate their costume pieces.
- Watch/rewatch Gilmore Girls: Gilmore Girls is a fall classic, and if you haven’t already started watching, it’s time to start!
- Take a walk in a park: During the cold months it’s hard to get out and about, but it’s still important to spend some time in the sun. Bundle up and head outdoors!
- Guess the candy: If you have left over Halloween candy, try playing a game to get rid of it! Close your eyes/blindfold and try and guess what candy it is.
Fall Fashion
- Autumn is the perfect time to play with layers and colors.
- Adding a fun patterned sweater spices up any ordinary outfit.
- A sturdy pair of boots can be both fashionable and conventional.
- Scarves can be used as a way to keep warm or as a fashion statement.
- Just because it’s fall doesn’t mean you have to dress in neutrals. Wearing colorful tights is a good way to add a pop of color to your outfit.
- Knitted wear will always be a staple in fall wear.
- A good cozy jacket is great for layering in the fall.
- Still want to wear skirts but it’s too cold? Add long skirts to your wardrobe.
