This past weekend, Indianapolis was flooded with hundreds of people of all walks of life, and what drew them together was no other than Taylor Swift. Many South students were in attendance on Sunday as Swift wrapped up the US leg of the Eras tour at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Senior Kai’ava Ing, who attended on night two, said “it was a really great experience to see a whole bunch of people ready to make friends and have a great time.” Ing went on to share a moment from the night, “when this girl was sitting next to me and she complimented my outfit and then she gave me a little friendship bracelet, and I had no idea what it meant at all, but it felt really nice.”
Math teacher Torin Whitehead went to night one of the Eras tour and said that “I was entertained the whole time.” She continued, the concert “was the most theatrical [I’ve ever been to],” describing that everything from the lights to the music was astounding.
Although Taylor Swift is technically just a musician, she is able to unite everyone in attendance – Swiftie or not – even if it’s only for a few hours. Whether you hate her or you love her, it’s clear Swift puts on a good show.
