Academic Super Bowl members competed in the annual invitational at Brown County on March 8. The invitational is a practice competition held to give participants an idea of where their abilities stand, and what they need to improve on.
South had six participating teams and its social studies team placed first in the invitational. On the team was senior Walter Guardino, who provided some insight into his team’s success.
“It went well, we did better than I thought we would,” Guardino said. “Myself and others involved knew a lot and were willing to assert our views even when we weren’t entirely sure. Our group dynamics really made the difference.”
