Many students at South will have the opportunity to vote for the first time this year, but in order to do this, these students must register by April 4 at noon.
To be eligible to register to vote in the Indiana primary, students must be U.S. citizens, residents of Indiana for at least 30 days, at least 18 years old by the time of the election and not imprisoned for a criminal conviction.
People who meet these requirements can register online, in person or by mail. When registering online, an Indiana driver’s license or state identification card number is necessary.
To register in person or by mail, one must complete the Registration by Mail Application (form VRG-7) or the County Voter Registration Application (form VRG-11).
Within 30 days of submitting their voting applications, eligible voters will receive voter registration acknowledgement cards and subsequently be registered to vote.
