The first ever Splash Bash for Dance Marathon was held on Sep. 3 from 8-10 p.m. at Bryan Park Pool, the event raised $950 to donate to Riley Children’s Hospital.
The entrance fee was $5, and for an extra dollar students could enter a diving contest. The winner of the diving contest was Bloomington North student, and executive for Dance Marathon, Dawson Dayhoff.
“It was an awesome turn out for it being the first time we had this event,” said Bloomington South senior, and Dance Marathon executive Mackenzie Williams.
“Our next big fundraiser will be Red Hot for Riley, but there will be food nights in between,” said Dance Marathon President Audrey Pinto.
There was a great turnout for the Dance Marathon call-out meeting this past Monday. Check out Bloomington South Dance Marathon on Instagram @bsdm_ for future updates and fundraisers.
