Juniors Nancy Mary Mwakalindile and Sarah Payne are two of the many South students who participated in Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) on Friday, volunteering at the Community Kitchen. GYSD is an annual event in which students give back to their communities through volunteerism. It is the largest service event in the world. Other Bloomington groups this year helped out at Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, Griffy Lake Nature Preserve, Hoosier Hills Food Bank, and more places.
