This Tuesday, the MCCSC school board decided to raise meal prices by 5-10 cents. The decision was chiefly made to comply with U.S. Department of Agriculture regulations, which state that schools with a weighted average meal price of $2.86 or less must raise their prices. Prices for high schools will be increased by 5 cents, while middle and elementary school prices will rise by 10 cents. The increase was approved by the board with a 6-0 vote.
