The solar eclipse is quickly approaching. This event, starting at 1 p.m. and ending at 4 p.m., will be incredible−but only if students follow safety precautions.
Kirstin Milks, a science teacher at South, advised students to “ make good decisions when [they] get out of school.”
Another science teacher, Angela Floyd, recommended that students only look at the sun for “brief moments” and that they wear eye protection always.
Sophomore Elyssa Blessing said that this will be “a cool experience to see. Students who do not turn in signed permission slips to view the event live will watch a live stream of it in the auditorium. /span>
