Today, the cafeteria added kale chips to its lunch menu as part of a school effort to provide healthier food items for students. However, students are divided on their opinions of kale chips. For many students, kale is not the typical type of food that they’d eat in a day.
“I don’t really eat kale,” explained junior Destiny Cox.
Kale is becoming a food that is more acceptable and more common within society. There are many students who eat kale on a regular basis.
“[Kale chips] are healthier and they taste good!” said junior Kamden Deckard.
With the introduction of kale chips to the lunch menu we can’t help but what wonder what’s next. Zucchini bread? Radish salad? The only question that remains is: will kale chips become a cafeteria regular?
