Junior Dexter Wu-Corts poses moments after he purchased the coveted yet controversial Mr. Hoagland shirt. “It’s a pretty good shirt, I only payed $10 for it,” Wu-Corts said. The shirt depicts history teacher Matthew Hoagland, gazing fondly into the distance. The origin of the shirts isn’t totally clear to the students of South, but it is rumored that South grad Mason Danielson is the one who first started producing them. However, Hoagland despises these shirts, and loses all respect for people who wear them. Hoagland is known for upholding a grumpy facade to many students, but many students find him to be one of the most caring and well liked teachers at South. So if you’re trying to gain the admiration of Hoagland, it would be wise to not let him see you wearing the shirt.
