South’s newest club is meeting Thursday after school in Mrs. Garvey’s room. SPAA, Students for Public Action and Awareness, is an offshoot/expansion of the club previously known as SADD. SPAA’s co-presidents, Emily Axsom and Ana Henderson, are aiming to have the club focus on public service, awareness, and activism. SPAA will be involved with issues such as animal welfare, breast cancer, community projects, ect. The club will communicate through a Remind 101 conversation and will also meet 1-2 times a month after school.
