Cricket Shelton is a junior who serves as a Staff Writer, Video Editor, and Photographer for the The Optimist. She is also a special contributor and student representative for Gannett-owned The Herald-Times. She has participated in the National Girls & Women in Sports Day Career Clinic as a guest of Pacers Sports and Entertainment in Indianapolis, worked court-side on a live Indiana Fever television broadcast, and has interviewed Hall of Fame basketball player and 4-time Olympic gold medalist Tamika Catchings.
